Ask Launches "BIG News" service

Companies are alwaus trying to differntiate their offerings, and ASK is no different, hence their new "news service" is while bein similar to Google News and Digg has a few differentiating factors.  The most interesting is something called a "Big Factor" that takes into account four variables when determining the score of each story.

The four factors are: Breaking, Impact, Media and Discussion.  Each of these variable takes different aspects relating to the story into account to determine how it "ranks" on the BIG NEWS scale.

Interestingly considering Google dominance in the Search area, only 9% of the online community uses its Google News service, the majority choosing either Yahoo or MSN, so there is a lot to play for.
