Home > News & PR > Mac Unveils New Apple Back to School With an AppleSoftware Giant Apple recently hosted an event at their Cupertina, California headquarters to introduce the new iMac and also demonstrate a number of upgrades it has made to some of its other products. Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs showed off the new iMacs. They come with the option of having either a 20” or 24” widescreen display. They have an ultra slim design which is very pleasing to the eye .They are made using anodized aluminium and recycled glass, so the more environmentally conscious will be pleased with this product. The iMacs is a high performance computer which offers up to 4GB of memory and a host of applications and features. Modifications have been made to the iLife suite, which has been completely revamped with new versions of all its applications. iPhoto and iMovie have also been modified, in- fact, iMovie has actually been completely rewritten in order to allow users to make high quality movies easier and quicker than ever before. This event comes at a time which corresponds to a very important sales period for Apple. No doubt that they are counting on the iMac and the recent modifications to boost their sales as the usual ‘Back to School’ rush begins in earnest over the next few weeks.
