How Analytics Saved the Day !

There is much talk about web analytics these days, from the most complex to the simplest, but not a lot is said about the positive effects that looking and UNDERSTANDING the data can have.

I have been telling one of my customers for many months that he is losing visitors because of the way his home page, the one most people were entering the site in, was simply not working with all the browser types.

Bounce Rates

It took sometime before his website designer agreed and thus the pages were rebuilt. Result, the bounce rate fell from 60% to 35%, which in turn means that there is a lot more business going on now.

So, remember, please do look at the data in your log file, or analytics and make sure that you take action to remedy any issues that seem to be wrong. Of course, if you don't know how, your website designer or ISP should be able to help, and if not there is always Intelligent Online Marketing...
