3D Mapping Service Launches in the USA

Two of the giants of search went head to head again this week with the introduction of a 3D mapping service, but only in the USA of course. Google and MSN's services are quite similar and offer users the ability to see a 360 degree panoramic view, this being taken at street level height, as opposed to the now normal satellite shot.

Google's offering even allows you to "walk down the street" and see how the image changes! At the moment it is only available for five of the USA's cities, but plans are there to roll it out to cover a much wider selection. Wonder when London will be done??
