TvTrip™ Gets New Funding

In January this year, four former senior managers from Expedia Europe founded Tvtrip.
Tvtrip™ is an independent online company who offer free quality video searches of hotels in Europe. It currently covers hotels in 10 European countries including London, Paris, Madrid and Rome.

The company has recently received £2.3 m in funding from Balderton Capital and Partech International and is now armed and ready to increase its presence on the Web. It’s aiming to have over 1500 hotel listings in 50 cities by the end of the year.

The site doesn’t actually handle bookings but simply provides the user with video supported information about the hotels features such as the size of the room, location, views and services on offer. It then offers links to sites which offer prices and booking services for the hotels listed.

The videos will certainly add to the ‘see it to believe it’ line and in general this concept also adds to the user rich experience widely on offer on the web today.
